고려 왕조는 918년부터 1392년까지 약 500년 동안 지속되었습니다.

고려 초기에는 문민 귀족, 즉 귀족 가문이 사회를 지배했습니다. 

그러나 시간이 지남에 따라 이 귀족들은 부패하고 권력을 잃었습니다. 

이로 인해 군사 통치 기간 동안 정부를 장악한 군사 지도자들이 부상했습니다.
고려 역사의 또 다른 큰 사건은 13세기 몽골의 침략이었습니다. 

약 80년 동안 고려는 원나라(몽골 제국)의 명령을 따라야 했습니다. 

 

고려는 불교와 문화적 업적으로도 유명했습니다.

가장 유명한 업적 중 하나는 나무 블록에 새겨진 불교 경전 모음집인 팔만대장경입니다.

고려는 오늘날에도 여전히 보존되어 있습니다.

고려는 아름다운 청자 도자기로도 유명했습니다.

 

The Goryeo Dynasty lasted for about 500 years, from 918 to 1392.

At the beginning of Goryeo, civil aristocrats, or noble families, ruled society.

But as time went on , these aristocrats became corrupt and lost power.

This led to the rise of military leaders, who took control of the government in what is known as the military rule period.

Another big event in Goryeo’s history was the Mongol invasions in the 13th century.

For about 80 years, Goryeo had to follow the orders of the Yuan Dynasty (the Mongol Empire).

 

Goryeo is famous for its Buddhism and cultural achievements.

One of the most famous achievements is the Tripitaka Koreana, a collection of Buddhist scriptures

that was carved onto wooden blocks.

It is still preserved today.

Goryeo is also known for its beautiful celadon pottery.
