🛠️ "The Trouble with Sam"
Sam, Jack, and Jenny were best friends—at least, they used to be.
Jack and Jenny had been dating, but they broke up after a big fight.
A few weeks later, they made up, realizing they still loved each other.
They made up over coffee, laughing about silly things.
"I'm glad we made up," Jenny said with a smile.
Meanwhile, Sam had a habit of lying.
He often made up stories about his past to impress others.
"Did you know I once met BTS in New York?" he said.
But Jack knew better—Sam always made up stuff like that.
One day, Jack’s wallet went missing.
Jenny saw Sam make off with something shiny and suspicious.
Later, they found out Sam had made off with not just the wallet, but Jenny’s bracelet too.
It wasn’t the first time—he’d made off with money from the café last month.
Sam also tried to make money off of his lies.
He told fake stories online to make money off of his followers.
Jack warned him, "You can’t just make money off of people’s trust."
Jack and Jenny were fed up.
They made up their minds to leave town and start over in a new city.
"I finally made up my mind about leaving," Jack said.
"Yeah, I’ve been wanting this too," Jenny replied, "I made up my mind last week."
They had an old van, so they made it over together—changing the seats, repainting it.
Jenny said, “Let’s make over the back into a bed.”
Jack nodded, “Yeah, and we can make it over into a camper van!”
As they prepared to leave, Sam tried to make up for what he’d done.
He returned the stolen things and said, “I want to make up for my mistakes.”
But Jack replied, “Some things you just can’t make up for with words.”
Then one day, Sam disappeared.
No one knew where he had gone, but people whispered he had decided to make away quietly.
Some even said the company he tricked had decided to make away with their enemy—Sam.
Jenny said, “If he really made away, I hope he finds peace.”
Jack replied, “Yeah... He probably made away with someone else’s wallet again.”
Later, Jenny realized she had missed a few shifts at work.
"I really need to make up the work before next week," she said.
Jack added, “Let’s finish the van fast so you can make up the work in time. I’ll help.”
"Thanks. I’ll make up the work this weekend," she promised.
They said goodbye to their old life and drove off.
The road was long, but the fresh start made for something exciting.
Their trust, their love, and their little van—it all made for a perfect new beginning.
And in time, that van made into a symbol of second chances.
