한국의 중요한 전통 춤 중 하나인 처용무에 대해 말씀드리겠습니다.

처용무는 한국 문화유산의 특별한 부분입니다.

또한 유네스코에서 무형문화유산으로 인정하고 있습니다.

 

한국어로 "무"라는 단어는 춤을 의미합니다.

이 춤은 신라 시대의 옛 이야기에 등장하는 처용이라는 사람의 이름을 따서 명명되었습니다.

처용무는 왕궁에서 추는 궁중 춤입니다.

무용수는 짙은 팥색으로 복숭아 모양의 장식이 있는 처용 가면이라는 가면을 쓰고 있습니다.

한국 민속에서 팥과 복숭아는 유령과 나쁜 기운을 쫓아낼 수 있는 상징입니다.

전설에 따르면 처용은 악령을 쫓는 힘이 있었다고 합니다.

오늘날에도 이 춤은 한국의 전통을 기리고 보존하기 위해 특별한 날에 공연됩니다.

이 춤은 우리 문화의 아름답고 의미 있는 부분입니다.

처용무 is named after a person called Cheoyong, who appears in an old story from the Silla dynasty.

Cheoyongmu is a court dance performed in the royal palace.

The dancer wears a mask called the Cheoyong mask,

which has a peach-shaped decoration in dark red bean color.

 

In Korean folklore, red beans and peaches are symbols that can drive away ghosts and bad spirits.

According to legend, Cheoyong had the power to chase away evil spirits.

Even today, this dance is performed on special occasions to honor and preserve Korean traditions.

It’s a beautiful and meaningful part of our culture.
