Under the rule of king Gwanggaeto the great and his son, king Jangsu in the 5th century,

Goguryeo expanded its territory and became very powerful enough to take over the Han River.

Its people were known for being adventurous and good at war.

Famous leaders, such as General Eulji Mundeok and Yeonggaesomun,

defended their kingdoms against China's Su and Tang dynasties.
Goguryeo was one of Korea's greatest ancient kingdoms, remembered for its strong defense and vast land.
